The revolution will not be televised; it will come through as an e-mail forward that you must send to 10 of your friends or something bad will happen!

Unbeknownst to me, today was Black Shirt Day™ at work. All the Black people in our department were supposed to wear Black shirts. And I wore red.

So I didn't get the e-mail! Sue me!

Apparently, the whole Black Shirt Day™ was supposed to be a sign to management that…umm…wait a minute, I know this one….

Perhaps I should just give you the backstory.

On Friday, someone in our department was promoted. Generally, promotions aren't even flirted with unless you've been with the company for six months. This guy's only been here for two and a half. He was promoted to a position that wasn't even open for internal hires yet, especially after such a short period of time when he's still in probation. Reeks of something, eh? I left work early that day, already noxious from the fumes of the shit hitting the fan.

So again, this Black Shirt Day™ is supposed to symbolize…something.

Maybe that part of the message got truncated.
