Overheard this morning while in the break room watching the news:
Chick 1: Girl, how was your Christmas?
Chick 2: My holiday was fine. I got an iPod Mini! Look at it! Oooh…it’s so cute and so pink!
Chick 1: That is nice…I wish my man would’ve got me an iPod….
Chick 2: Well did you tell him that’s what you wanted?
Chick 1: Hell yeah! Instead, he got me some damn book.
Chick 2: Well is it a good book?
Chick 1: NO. Apparently he wrote this corny ass book about how we met and got married and it’s got my name in and my dog’s name and my daughter’s.
Chick 2: Wow…that’s really romantic…I wish my husband would do something like that….
Chick 1: Romantic my ass, I wanted the iPod! Shit…I ain’t gon’ even read this book just to teach him a lesson.
