Not This Again

Whenever I go through my feeds, I can always find some neat game, interesting article, poignant blog entry or, in this case, oh-my-God-Black-people-are-on-the-Internet observation. Well, it's not so much the "livejournal for gangsta' rappers" disassociation (complete with apostrophe!), but for the comments:

"The damn thing is called "Thug Life Army" but you find it "condescending and ignorant" to suggest it has some relation to "gansta rap?" The top post on their blog is about Tookie; the second about Tupac. It is patently about gangsta rap, so what the hell are you offended by?"

"Let's face it, the urban hip-hop community has such little web presence it's hard to link to anything. It's not like a hip-hop blog can simply aggregate information from other sources."

"Finally! A place I can go to bitch about my hoes."

"Who took the whites only sign off the Internet? This is an outrage."

"The proper term is 'blogging is in da house!'"

"I think the proper term is 'blogging is in da HIZZOUSE'"

"If MeFi's color is blue, does that make us Crips? Maybe that explains why you guys got so bent out of shape when Tookie died."

Oh, ignorant little MeFi commenters. By a show of hands, how many of y'all have heard of AllHipHop.net? Or HipHopMusic.com? Or SOHH.com? Here's a few more to wet your whistle:

Actually, just go to Hip Hop Blogs and go through the blogroll — that's more than enough "web presence" for that ass.
