*** END ***
See, this is what I should’ve done. Was this the hottest mess or what?! I don’t even know where to start. How about, I had no idea Bill Duke is an idiot! OMG! An idiot with a personal vendetta spouting mistruths (sic) about AIDS on cable!
The ads for A4A are fucking priceless (literally). And really, I wouldn’t want Terry to be a spokesmodel for ANY cause except maybe lithium. We can only hope this is “one of the last interviews” she does.
damn the ignorance! i am almost glad that i did not see it: the buffonery of JLK and TMcM would have had me throwing the remote at the television!
but seriously based on your re-cap there was almost no discussion about how homophobia, hatred and disgust can cause people to live their lives certain ways. it almost made “DL” men look shady, predatory and disease-ridden-the way they make a correlation between the “DL lifestyle” and only Black men makes me sick. we already get this bullshit from White media we don’t need it coming from our own community. black people need to get it together.
“10:05 – The term “DL” is 10 years old…who knew?”
yeah homie you kinda late. the kellz (r. kelly) made two songs about it in ’96. then it meant cheating own your mate, not some ridiculous secret gay “lifestyle”
don’t you hate that term, lifestyle?
peace
I thought I was the only person in America who was sick of hearing JL King speak. Obviously, he’s going to ride that 15 minutes of fame as long as he can. It enrages me that he used this opportunity to sensationalize “DL”ism and extend his fame an extra few minutes. How old is he anyway? He’s running around like he has his finger on the pulse of black men who have sex with men and he’s old enough to be somebody’s father. Did you check out those old pictures? Were those circa 1974? Any view he has must be at least 20 years old.
I’m not even gonna touch TerrMc. She did enough damage to herself.
I will say Dr. Malebranche was looking good though. DAMN make a bruh want to get his Ph.D at Emory!
but don’t forget that also glimpsed in that montage of “gay” sites was Steven Fullwood’s blog. WTF?
Oh my JEZUZ I refused to watch this. The only time I want to hear down low is in a Black Hip Hopra mess. At least that is some mess that you can love. BET is a consistent disappointment. They think they got all big and scholarly with a hard hitting expose. Please.
I’m glad you cover this, because I can’t begin to create a worthy entry.
HIV isn’t our probelm. Niggeritis is.
