- The Xbox game collection is growing nicely. Recent purchases: Indigo Prophecy, Advent Rising and Lego Star Wars. Don’t laugh on that last one – it’s fun as hell. I almost picked up Curse: The Eye of Isis or Fatal Frame, but erred on the side of caution since I hadn’t heard of either game before my buy-two-get-the-third-free Gamestop bender.
- While I’m on the gaming subject, I’ve got to talk about Gamefly for a second. If this company is smart, it will go ahead and give itself to Netflix so they can really appease gamers. Why, you ask? The company is based out of California, and that’s the only mailing center. So unless you live on the West Coast, the turnaround time on new games in your queue is anywhere from 5 – 7 business days. Bullshit — I can head down to Blockbuster to lessen that wait.
- Oh, and I get my Nintendo DS lite next week! Jesus, I feel like I’m 16 again.
- Talk about justice: how not to steal a SideKick II.
- ScooptWords looks like a very promising content for bloggers. I don’t know if I’ll use it on BGB, but if push comes to shove, I’d definitely give it a try. You write the content and leave the selling up to them.
- Speaking of ads, you’ll see a drastic decrease in the number of them on the site. I ditched AVN and AdSense (except for the Firefox ad) and just stuck with my breadwinner Text Link Ads. Of course, you probably shouldn’t get too used to the orange around here once June 15 hits. Also nixed the IM addresses because some of y’all are too much. Like the dude that hit me up telling me he likes to have people fart in his mouth for sexual pleasure. The fuck I look like, Dan Savage?
- Eh, there’s more to talk about and more to write about, and maybe when I get a chance this weekend I’ll have a brain dump and talk about them. However, I will leave you with this — this week’s blogcast is going to be a little different. Some of y’all will like it. Most of y’all will hate it. But hey, risks are risks.

Curse: The Eye of Isis is a horrible game–you dodged a bullet there. Controls were awkward, graphics were bleh–then again, I was playing the PC version. Still, I bet the xbox version sucks too.
I played Fatal Frame on PS2, that was pretty decent and I absolutely loved Indigo Prophecy (PC version). I can’t laught at your Lego Star Wars–since I faithfully buy Nancy Drew games.
Thanks for the information about ad services for bloggers. Not sure when I’ll be able to take advantage of the info, but it certainly gives me a lot of food for thought. Have you ever considered doing a podcast with all tech content? Not just one episode but a series, kind of like what Tiffany B. Brown does on her site but in an audio form? Or maybe a series of tips for blogging novices? Just wondering.
Love the site and the blogcasts!

i ain’t laughing at you for the lego game. i have a subscription to playstation underground magazine and it is in one of the demos! i’m eager to play it!
also, i agree with you about gamefly. i’ve been wondering if its worth signing up for but not reallly if it will take that long to get games. thanks for clearing that up! but i must say…I FREAKIN LOVE NETFLIX!
finding a good as solution seems to be a nightmare i’ve tried google and also crisp ads – everyone says if you want the payout you gotta go with blogads.
oh and i forgot. taking off the IM link was a good idea, i had to do the same with my redesign as well as removing all references to my email address. things can get a little too crazy when you give away all your contact information on the internet(s).
Hey Karsh,
I’ve been keeping up with your blog for a while now…good shit man. You had me dying with the Rachel Ray remarks….”feedin’ dogs onions and shit….that ain’t cookin!!” hi-la-ri-ous. I was gagging at the humiliation campaign about the Sidekick you posted…..talk about putting someone on blast! Keep it up man!
I knew you were inviting trouble with those IM addies but I let you see for yourself. LOL I’m glad YOU can make those text ads work for you because I can’t seem to get them to do anything for me.
