• Freedom! That’s what I have this weekend for the first time in over a month. I thought I would have free time during the Christmas holiday, but that didn’t happen as Brooding Velma, fresh off her suspension from work, has been gunning for my ass like crazy and flooded me with OT work. After a talk with her manager’s manager’s manager Office Creeper, that has been sufficiently nipped in the bud and a brotha is free and clear.
  • I thought about whether or not I was going to a year in review post like I’ve done for years prior…and I don’t think I will. That’s not to say that 2006 wasn’t filled with its share of ups and downs, but recounting them would take more time right now than I feel like committing to it. Besides, I still have my copy of Twilight Princess from November that I have yet to even crack out of the plastic! It’s cool and rainy today and probably a perfect time it get entrenched in the Hylian adventure.
  • Also in the spirit of this weekend of freedom, I’ll be doing a lot of catching up, so expect a flurry of posts today and tomorrow (and maybe Monday depending on how drunk I get).
  • Does anyone know of a cheap (or preferably free) way to convert tunes and audiobooks from iTunes into mp3s? There’s a couple of offerings I’d love to get from the iTMS, but the Creative Zen Vision:M won’t even recognize them. And no, getting an iPod ain’t the answer. Although that new iPod shuffle is too cute not to consider.
  • While this has been a tremendously busy month, I’ve probably been more social and met more guys this month than all the other eleven combined. More on that later though.
  • I don’t know what’s more disturbing…the fact that I sat through and watched the infamous “Screech” porn video or that I’m actually divulging that little bit of information. Ol’ Screech does have a decent wang though, although don’t expect it to be much of a porn video…more like him just talking to two drunk average-looking chicks in their hotel room with way too much commentary.

Oh, and he didn’t really give that girl a Dirty Sanchez; it was more like a Smelly Rodriguez.

  • Want a cloneburger with cheese? Now that the FDA has approved the usage of cloned livestock for human consumption (without appropriate labeling), you can probably expect more of that. Not to mention certain livestock byproducts, like milk, cheese and yogurt. Who knows, maybe we’ll all have special powers and shit like the folks on Heroes! I certainly think that baby that went through the X-ray machine at LAX might.
  • Ghost-riding the whip…damn, can’t these folks anything better to do with their time? This ain’t Fame…get your ass off the car!
  • Porcine celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton is getting sued by X17 Inc. to the tune of $7.6 million for copyright infringement. Basically, he stole a few photos, drew on ‘em, then added his logo to them. I wonder if Getty Images will start going after celeb gossip blogs I’ve seen using their copyrighted images with their logo strewn across ‘em. It’s all fun and games until you get sued.
  • Debbie Schussel, the white-trash and moonshine second-place runner up to current conservative cocksnot Ann Coulter fired off a particularly asinine piece for Media Matters called “Should Barack Hussein Obama be president ‘when we are fighting the way of our lives against Islam’?” Now there’s so many inconsitencies with Schussel’s piece, that it’s hard to even pick where to start. She and similar conservatives have been lambasting the neophyte Illinois senator on — get this now — his name. Similar arguments are brewing because Christian Obama is viewed as a Muslim to followers of Islam. (Personal note: Sperm Donor has been a Muslim for over 30 years, so by that respect, technically I’d be Muslim. But I ain’t.) The whole conservative media’s approach on lambasting Senator Obama is quite frankly very fucking childish. I mean, these are schoolyard tactics. I’ve yet to see any of those conservatives go after him on the issues that matter, like our increasingly deadly “war against terror”.
  • And please, if you may, do go and show J.Brotherlove some brotherlove for being one of Window Media’s new bloggers! You can read (and syndicate, for you RSSers out there) all his content over at the SoVo blog. Lord knows that rag needs a Black voice. Give ‘em Hell, J.!
