Well, I had planned to squeeze in a blogcast today, but thanks to UPS, I won’t be doing that. You see, I’ve been waiting to get my new business cards today via 2nd day air, and the delivery driver didn’t even bother to knock on the door; he just left the InfoNotice and dipped. And even after calling UPS and saying how important the package was, I just got a firm “no” and was told the cards would be re-delivered on Monday. I told them I would file a complaint and they hung up on me. What can brown do for me? Not a goddamned thing. Anywho, I’ve got a standing appointment at 5pm today which will leave me out of the BGB Blogcast studio pocket (read: my bedroom), so I won’t be able to get one out today like I had originally planned. Sorry to those of you who I e-mailed saying I would be able to. Feel free to give the finger to your local UPS man for me, would ya? Thanks. I did want to mention this though: I will be at SoCon ‘07 tomorrow for those of you who may also be attending. I will most definitely be doing some recording while I’m there (a little birdie told me there may be a podcast studio available) so I will try hard to have something up by Sunday. Hmmph! Years ago, my mother sent a tv set down to my brother in ATL via UPS. Those dumb mfers left it with a “neighbor” and it was never seen again. Too lazy to put it back on the truck, I guess.
Mom fired off a letter to the CEO of UPS. They compensated her for the loss.

I also have had bad experiences with UPS. Many times they work out okay. But it’s the critical times when I most needed them is when they disappointed me and let me down. So, since then, I try to use FedEx and seldom do businesses with companies and that only use UPS.
