CSS Naked Day

For today, your eyes will be spared of the orange of the site (except the header). Wonder why? Because today’s CSS Naked Day!

The idea behind this event is to promote Web Standards. Plain and simple. This includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, a good hierarchy structure, and of course, a good ‘ol play on words. It’s time to show off your <body>

As you can see, my body’s tabled. It’s the theme — back from the early days of WordPress and built by the remarkable Theron Parlin, it’s all tabled. Stable, but tabled. I know…bad designer! I churn out CSS-layout sites five days a week for Big Company, Inc. and my own site is awash in tag soup.

I plan on changing that soon though; I just found this Dreamweaver extension that lets you design WP Themes from within the program. And I’ve been doing some sketches of designs and finally settled on one that I like. And if you think the orange was bad…version 11 will be neon yellow. Not too garish though; it’ll be hot.

The #FF7D00 you’ve come to love will return tomorrow.

UPDATE: This is the WordPress Dreamweaver extension I was talking about: TAGStention.
