I found this little tidbit in my mailbox this morning, and figured I’d pass the opportunity. Southern Voice, the local gay newspaper here in town, is having a College Blogger “contest” (contest is in quotes because the prize is…well…writing for Southern Voice).

Are you an LGBT student interested in sharing your experiences of campus life? Or maybe you are already an avid blogger and want to expand your reach to the largest LGBT online audience in Georgia? If so, then Southern Voice and David Magazine want you!

Potential candidates should have a basic understanding of blogging and Web 2.0, be familiar with their university’s LGBT resources, and be enrolled as a full-time student. Winners will be asked to contribute and commit to one blog post per week while school is in session.
And yes, grad students, you’re eligible too. Yours truly is no longer in school, but if you’re an LGBT blogger in school and reading this, go and apply. And if you go to an HBCU, you damn well better apply.
