It’s 3:00am and I’m jacked up on Mountain Dew (hey, I had to finish some client work). Let’s do this thang!
- 2010 is getting off to a great start so far. Business is doing really well. My clients do give me some headaches, but overall, without them, my business would be shit. Shout out to those who have me on a monthly retainer! It’s all the security of a steady paycheck without the nagging peskiness of co-workers or office politics! Plus, I can work from home in my draws, or from the cozy nerdiness of a local coffee shop in the middle of the day. Ahh… My project workload will be clearing up in mid-March, so if you’re looking for a website or a WordPress theme, drop me a line.
- Speaking of mid-March, guess what has two thumbs and will finally be at SXSW this year? And speaking of speaking, I’m speaking too! It’s funny — I’ve tried to get to Austin for years, and I either didn’t have the cash to make it, or wherever I worked for at the time wouldn’t give me the time off. Now that I’ve worked for myself now for over a year, I’ve got the opportunity to do it. So if you’re trying to get to SXSW, quit your job! (Actually, you might not want to follow that advice.)
- When I last spoke about Gaara, I mentioned that given our current states, it would either be a recipe for harmony or disaster. And wouldn’t you know it…it’s actually been harmonious. He’s in school now, and we hang out or go to dinner at least once a week. He’s busy out there doing his thing, and I’m actually really proud to see where he is in his life now. We’re both really comfortable around each other, and can pretty much say anything to each other. For what it’s worth, we’ve actually come out on the other side of this relationship as friends (albeit several years later). Geez, is that even the kind of thing a guy should say about his ex?
- While we’re on the topic of boys, there is someone I’m talking to at the moment. That is, I think we’re talking. It’s kind of a long-distance thing, and we’re in that “getting to know you” stage. He might be moving to Atlanta in April, which would certainly hasten what has thus far been a frustrating attempt at courtship. Actions speak louder than words, you dig? I’ll have to elaborate on that later.
Hmm…I guess that’s it for now. The Dew’s wearing off, so I’m heading to bed. Quick, leave me some comments on some stuff you want me to write about.
Go!
Well Id love to see you blogging more about your creative works and your personal life and how it turns out with your STABLE of men! Wonder whom will allow you to take them for a REAL ride. May be good things to come relationship wise and I'd like to hear about that. Personal Growth and Happiness never gets boring.
Glad you're coming to Austin! Weather's great! Check out the bats, my Dell colleagues at sxswi, I am going to TechKaraoke, canoe on the Colorado, eat some BBQ (preferably Salt Lick's sausage, Iron Works ribs, Rudy's brisket/baby back ribs), eat some TexMex, and enjoy whatever you end up doing here. Oh yeah, lots of Austin Twitterati out and about, so touch base!
So, what are your thoughts about some of the groups in town that serve the black gay, or same gender loving (you say potato, I say patato) groups and their leaders?
